According to InputOutputGlobal, the development team behind Cardano, the Vasil upgrade is the company`s most ambitious project yet. The Vasil upgrade has to work closely with multiple ecosystem initiatives, and IOG is working with Dquadrant and the Indigo protocol.
The network exploded as developers tried to use Cardano as the developers they built the platform on. The rapid growth and adoption of 1000 dApps on the Cardano blockchain necessitated a blockchain upgrade.
Cardano accelerates network development activity, Github commits outnumber competitors Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche. However, analysts predict that the price of Cardano may drop. Cardano remains at risk of falling to the $0.31 support line.
IOHK initially indicated a delay in sending the hard fork upgrade to the testnet in June. On July 3, as the work progressed, the IOG team performed a hard fork on the testnet, starting the final countdown to the mainnet hard fork.
The team later indicated that it plans to give exchanges and SPOs four weeks to complete any required detection and integration work.
According to IOHK`s working theory, the hard fork of the Cardano mainnet could happen in the last week of July. Cardano is reportedly considering several upgrades to improve its scalability and usage. The crypto community is looking forward to seeing these improvements.
