TheOtherside is a cooperation project between BAYC of YugaLabs and NFT investment giant and game giant AnimocaBrands.
In partnership with Otherside creator YugaLabs, the global rap icon will take the VMA stage to transform into the style of their new collaborative single "From the D2 the LBC", bringing Otherside some major mainstream exposure. At this stage, though, specific feature details are scarce.
This seems to be a signal to the music industry that Metaverse performances deserve more recognition, and the VMAs also boosted the "Best Metaverse Performance" category of their annual awards. Nominees include Justin Bieber, RiftTour (which features Ariana Grande) and 21 pilots.
VMAs maybe I'm hoping that in embracing the metaverse, they'll boost their lackluster ratings again. After peaking at 12.4 million viewers in 2011, the awards saw a steady decline in viewership, with 900,000 viewers on MTV Live Online Awards, the eighth year of continuous decline in ratings.
The single represents the first collaboration between the two artists in 20 years, and the duo will receive an award for "Best Hip Hop". Both Eminen and Snoopdogg are supporters of BAYCNFT, and a large amount of video music for this song contains NFT collection content. SnoopDogg also recently appeared in EstherAnaya's EDM single called BAYC, in BoredApes and other NFT video animations.
Eminem bought a BoredApe wearing a hip-hop suit for 123.45ETH on December 31, and collected NFTs under the other 28 names of Shady_Holdings. SnoopDog is a more enthusiastic participant in the NFT industry. He and TheSandbox formed a collaboration with TheSandbox's "TheDoggies" series BoredApe, which was purchased on December 22.

TheOtherside is a gamified interoperable metaworld currently in interoperable metaworld beta development. The platform provides OtherdeedNFT to represent the data ownership of the land in the virtual world affiliated to BAYC, and the owner of Otherdeed is called a "voyager".
According to litepaper, "Otherside will support interoperability in the future, giving Voyagers the opportunity to collect and harvest their own Outerworld NFTs in our metaverse to bring to life."

According to the data from CryptoSlam so far, the sales of OtherdeedNFT in the past 30 days have exceeded 1 billion US dollars, with a trading volume of 23.5 million US dollars. Ranking first in this series, the NFT requirements are also quite high. Four months ago, a piece of land was sold for as high as 3333.33 ETH (currently worth $565,289).
On July 16, TheOtherside allowed customers to enter its virtual world for the first time, and 4,500 customers entered and experienced the virtual world. According to Voyagers articles by fans, the tour appears to have been a huge success.
