Polygon Introduces New Scaling Workaround
ZK confirmation technology groups transactions before sending the information as a single transaction request to the Ethereum blockchain. The gas cost of each transaction is then shared among participants, thereby minimizing transaction fees.
According to a press release shared with CryptoPotato, Polygon claims its zkEVM solution is the first scaling solution equivalent to Ethereum, using its ZK certainty to increase scalability and reduce costs without sacrificing security.
Since the PolygonzkEVM is "essentially equal" to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), it can be used with current smart contracts, development tools and wallets without having to modify or re-implement the code.
