recent efforts

Exchange giants have been taking steps to delve into the regulation of the crypto industry.

To push for responsible control of the crypto industry, Coin Gan established a Global Advisory Board (GAB) on Sept. 22. GAB's many experts in this field include former US Senators and global business leaders.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao described the mission of GAB in this way:

"Through [the shareholders' meeting], we apply the highest level of expertise in the world to enhance our ability to manage and control complexity."

A day later, the exchange announced the hiring of its head of compliance at rival exchange Kraken. Steven Christie has left Kraken to take up the role of Senior Senior Vice President of Binance. In addition to sharing the news, Zhao added that the exchange is looking for more people to work on its compliance team.
